Write for us
We welcome pitches that make a thoughtful subject easier to understand without making it smaller. A strong contribution has a clear question, a reader in mind, and an explanation that earns its way from one idea to the next.
What to pitch
Send an original proposal about concepts, connections, explanations, learning, or a question that opens a subject in a useful way. We are interested in pieces with a defined scope, a distinctive angle, and examples that help readers see the idea at work.
What makes a strong proposal
Briefly describe the central question, why it matters to a curious general reader, the main points you would cover, and what makes your approach distinct. Include any relevant experience with the subject, without assuming readers already know its specialist language. Do not send a full draft unless requested.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please include a working title and a short outline. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; we will consider whether it fits the subject and voice of Thoughtful Knowledge.
